Non painting partners are very welcome on the art holidays in France and will find much to enjoy in the surrounding area. The area is great for walking, cycling etc and there are also many interesting villages, towns and historic sites in easy reach. Its also a region renown for fine food and wine.
Nearby Church and village of Montmelard viewed from top of Mont St Cyr. The venue for these art holidays in France is just out of view to the bottom right of the picture with the village about twenty minutes walk away. It really is just as peaceful and picturesque as the photo shows!
"I am delighted to have been asked to return again and tutor on this exciting art holiday in France at the family run creative arts centre of "Les Cerisiers" in Southern Burgundy. The three holidays I've run at the centre in 2010 and 2011 were very special and inspirational weeks. The feedback from previous participants has been very positive. The venue is a traditional stone farmhouse and barn in an idyllic location looking out across meadows of grazing cattle and the wooded slopes of Mont St Cyr. There is a real sense of space and tranquility yet within only a short distance there are castles, vineyards and the historic town of Cluny. The region is renown for it's fine wines and food and your hosts will enjoy sharing these with you.
The comfortable accommodation in the traditional stone farmhouse and converted adjacent stone barn studio create an excellent venue for this very special art holiday.
Expert tuition from Nicola will guide you through an exciting week of artistic discovery while your very helpful hosts Janice Barnett and partner Mark ensure you get the most out of your stay. The atmosphere is friendly and informal and of course the number of painters is limited to a maximum of just ten to ensure you get the attention you desire.

Prices start at £560 for full board for painters and a variety of accommodation options are available: Non painting partners are also very welcome and receive full board for just £300. The local area has much to offer and your hosts will be delighted to help you make the most of your stay whatever your interests. Full board includes all meals from Supper after arrival on Sunday to Breakfast on Saturday - the day of departure with the exception of lunch and Supper on Wednesday. The afternoon of Wednesday is a free afternoon offering an oppourtuity to explore some of the many delights of the local area and you will be helped to plan this part of your holiday at the start of week by hosts Janice and Mark.
