Nicola Slattery began her artistic career with the emphasis upon printmaking and has written several articles on techniques for well known art magazines in the UK. Although she is now better known for her distinct style of painting using acrylics on board she returns to printmaking from time to time, usually various forms of drypoint.

A drypoint print is produced by drawing directly onto a printmaking plate using a steel needle. Nicola Slattery usually uses a perspex plate - a technique she has helped to pioneer and which is now used by many other printmakers. The number of prints in each edition is strictly limited - usually to between 6 and 12. Many of her prints are hand coloured using water colour. All are hand produced at each stage directly by the artist herself and therefore each print is unique. The prints are signed and numbered by the artist upon completion. The following four prints were produced as a group using drypoint. They can be purchased framed or unframed, individually or as a group. They are available through several leading contemporary art galleries throughout the UK or alternatively you can buy direct from the artist with a money back guarantee if you are not entirely delighted! The edition of each image is limited to fifty prints. Each is individually printed, coloured, numbered and signed in person by the artist.
