The Art Sample Day is a great one day art course to get you started. Enjoy an art packed day learning the basics of drawing, have a wonderful introduction to painting with acrylics and experience the thrill of making your own limited edition drypoint print. The weekend Painting Courses specialise in the use of acrylics which are an excellent medium for beginners and are also used by many professional artists. The Printmaking weekend art course will introduce you to the very accessible techniques of Collagraph and Drypoint. ART HOLIDAY in France 2010. Enjoy an exciting week of artistic discoverey in a family run creative arts centre nestling in the Charollaise Hills of Southern Burgundy. The area is noted for it's fine food and wine and the traditional stone farmhouse and barn provide an idylic location. Nicola Slattery will be your tutor for the week (17 - 23 October) and will focus upon painting using acrylics, use of imagination and much more to create art. As house guests on this painting holiday you'll enjoy the friendly and informal atmosphere with the centres very caring owner ensuring you get the most out of your stay. Materials and equipment are provided on all art courses along with a buffet lunch each day. There are only ten places per art course which allows for lots of individual art tuition but they tend to fill up fairly quickly. Early booking for art courses and art holidays is always a good idea to be sure of the place that you really want. Some short notice cancelations occur so it's always worth telephoning to check availability. The art courses make an excellent weekend art break in a lovely location with many nearby farmhouse and traditional B&B's to choose from for your stay.
The Art Courses and Art Holidays are all suitable for all levels of ability including complete beginners and those with more experience. You will be taught as an individual and not expected to work at "group speed" - for this reason the number of people on each art course and the art holiday is limited to a maximum of just ten.
